Perugia

Perugia is a city in the Umbria region of Italy. The capital of Umbria, Perugia is one of the historically and culturally rich cities of Central Italy. Perugia has an ancient history dating back to the Etruscans and became an important cultural and commercial centre in the Middle Ages.

Perugia is famous for its Gothic and Renaissance architecture, art galleries, museums and historic squares. The most important sights in the city include Palazzo dei Priori (Town Hall), Perugia Cathedral, San Lorenzo Cathedral, Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria (National Gallery of Umbria) and Rocca Paolina.

Perugia is also home to many important events. One of the most famous is the world-famous Perugia Chocolate Festival (Eurochocolate). In addition, student life and cultural events are the elements that make up the lively atmosphere of the city, as it is home to the University of Perugia.
